Course Overview

Tourism is a huge global business and contributes 10% of the world’s GDP. There is increasing diversification and competition between destinations within the industry, as well as a growing number of new destinations. As a result, the international tourism industry currently accounts for 1 in 11 jobs globally (WTTC 2018). 

Solent's Tourism Management Institute (TMI) accredited BA (Hons) International Tourism Management aims to provide you with the specialist knowledge and theory in international tourism. Through an academically engaging, industry relevant and stimulating range of units you will develop your understanding of the changing nature of the industry.

The course is situated at QA's London, Manchester and Birmingham campuses

Course Duration

The course is 3 years or 4 years with a foundation year. 

Fees

£9,250 a year for UK students studying a course leading to a degree (eg BA, BSc, LLB). This includes students from Ireland, and EU, EEA and Swiss students who have citizens' rights after Brexit.

  • Festival, Events, Air & Tourism Research Skills 
  • Tourism and Cruise Experiences, Innovation and Management with Cruise Field Trip

Year 3

  • Contemporary Issues in Travel and Tourism 
  • Natural and Cultural Heritage Tourism 
  • Business Start-up 
  • Globalisation of the Cruise Industry 
  • Dissertation for Festivals, Events, Air and Tourism (40 credits)

Qualification route (Entry Requirments)

Solent's standard offer is 96-112 UCAS Points for the course and 48 UCAS Points for the foundation course.

Alternatively, Solent can accept international qualifications from countries such as Romania and Pakistan.
